Our team is made up of physicians, surgeons, and professionals from varied medical backgrounds. All of our specialists joined our team in order to provide pain relief for our patients in a comfortable way. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Deeni Bassam, The Spine Care Center was created with the goal of treating spine conditions in patients throughout Northern Virginia. Dr. Bassam’s extensive expertise and additional training quickly made our team stand out. Since he is a board-certified anesthesiologist as well as a board-certified pain management physician, Dr. Bassam is able to treat spine conditions in ways that are most comfortable and beneficial for patients.
Dr. Bassam was soon joined at The Spine Care Center by Dr. Faisal A Siddiqui, an expert spine surgeon who graduated with honors from Vanderbilt Medical School. Dr. Siddiqui has specialized in spine surgery and completed additional training, which allows him to perform new, innovative procedures. Along with Dr. Bassam, Dr. Siddiqui helped set the standard that surgery should be used only on patients with no other options for pain relief. This standard helps The Spine Care Center work diligently to provide each patient with the treatments that will be most beneficial to them.
In 2015, Dr. Usman Zafar joined our team with the goal of providing patients with safe, comfortable, and effective interventional spine procedures. Dr. Zafar was trained directly by Dr. Bassam. He is a fantastic addition to The Spine Care Center, and like Dr. Bassam and Dr. Siddiqui before him, he was recently recognized as a Top Doctor in Washingtonian magazine.
With these three doctors leading our team, we believe that we can provide patients in Manassas and Northern Virginia with excellent spine care. At The Spine Care Center, we strongly believe that spin care should be a comfortable, low-stress, and straightforward experience for you. We try to ensure that the entire spine care process is as convenient as possible for our patients. Our office will help you understand your insurance benefits and walk you through any procedures we recommend. We are also able to provide sedation during many procedures, which helps us make sure that you experience as little pain and stress as possible.
Our approach begins with an evaluation of your condition during your initial appointment. During this evaluation, our team of experts will work diligently to understand your symptoms so that they can begin to determine the source of your pain. To this end, our team may use advanced diagnostic imaging in order to give us more information and help our experts confirm the diagnosis. Following the diagnosis, we will utilize all of this compiled information in order to create a customized strategy for treating your back pain.
Other spine doctors often resort to surgery as a primary treatment option for your patients. That is not the case at The Spine Care Center. Thanks to the standards of our approach set by Dr. Bassam and Dr. Siddiqui, surgery is a last resort for our team. That said, if your condition does require surgery, we will do what we can to ensure that you feel comfortable from the time the process begins to the time you recover. We also utilize minimally invasive techniques to ensure that you have a better chance of recovering quickly. Regardless of whether you will benefit most from conservative treatment or a minimally invasive procedure, you will be in good hands with our expert team.
